To apply for a loan, you will have to provide the lender with detailed documentation of your financial history. The lender will request a credit report from a credit agency and will verify the information provided in your loan application. Be prepared to provide:

Income Information 
  • Your most recent pay stubs for the past 30 days also showing YTD earnings
  • W-2 withholding forms  and income tax returns for the past two years to verify your income 
  • Name and contact information of an individual to verify your employment
Asset Information
  • Two most recent months statements for all Checking and  Savings  Accounts
  • Two most recent months statements for assets such as bonds, stocks, or money saved in Retirement account programs (e.g.  IRA, 401k or 403b Accounts)
Personal Identification & Property Information
  • A copy of your current Driver's License and one additional valid form of ID.
  • Social Security numbers for both you and any co-borrowers
  • Residence history for the past two years
  • Sales contract for the purchase of a new home
  • A copy of the declaration page homeowner's insurance policy on the subject property
  • Homeowner's association information with contact information if property is a condo or part of a homeowner's association
